South of Cuba and west of Haiti and Dominican Republic, Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean (235 km long and between 35 and 85 km wide).
The center of the island is occupied by a mountain chain, with Blue Mountain being the tallest peak at 2,256 m. In the north, there is only a narrow strip of coastal plains. In the south, stretches of coastal plains that can go several kilometres inland alternate with plateaus ending in cliffs when the reach the sea.
Sandy beaches cover approximately one-third of the more than 900 km long Jamaican coastline. They range from long sandy stretches (like the famous Seven Mile Beach) to secluded coves surrounded by cliffs.
Tropical climate prevails in Jamaica, with fairly constant temperatures through the year (23 to 30 ºC) and rainfall concentrated between May and October. The island lies in the Atlantic hurricane belt, and so it experiences significant storm damage, including occasional particularly strong hurricanes causing heavy casualties and destruction.

Tourism is is one of the most important industries in Jamaica, with an average of more than 4 million tourists in the last years. Europe and North and South America are the origin of most visitors. Beaches are the main attraction, with a marked difference between the north coast, dominated by all-inclusive resorts, and the low-density alternatives in the southwest coast with a mix of natural attractions and fishing villages.

Naturism is not popular among Jamaicans, and in fact nudity is illegal in public places. The only option for nudists are private areas in resorts. Some of them allow nudity almost anywhere while other have designated clothing optional (or clothing forbidden) beaches and pools. In most cases those facilities are used only by a reduced number of guests, and they are reserved to adults even when they belong to family-friendly hotels. All these resorts lie in the northwest coast.

Below you can find a map with the resorts in Jamaica with clothing optional areas. The name and locations have been checked in several sources, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy in all cases. Please check by yourself the current status of these places.

I have dedicated most of my free time in the last years to discover the world, and beaches offer some of the most stunning landscapes on Earth. The next step was to enjoy them as naturally as possible, which obviously mean without clothes. Now I think it is time for me to share this liberating experience and try to help others to discover it.
