Thailand

Thailand is a country at the centre of the Indochinese peninsula in Southeast Asia. The north of the country is the mountainous area of the Thai highlands, the centre is dominated by the predominantly flat Chao Phraya river valley, which runs into the Gulf of Thailand, and southern Thailand consists of the narrow Kra Isthmus that widens into the Malay Peninsula. Altogether, the coastline is 7,066 km long including the numerous islands.
The most popular resorts (Phuket, Krabi, Ranong, Phang Nga and Trang) lay along the coasts of the Andaman Sea and, despite the 2004 tsunami, they are a tourist magnet for visitors from around the world.
Thailand's climate is influenced by monsoon winds that have a seasonal character. There are three seasons. The rainy or southwest monsoon season (mid–May to mid–October), characterized by abundant rain; winter or the northeast monsoon season (mid–October until mid–February), when most of Thailand experiences dry weather with mild temperatures; and summer or the pre–monsoon season (mid–February until mid–May), characterized by warmer weather.

While topless sunbathing is tolerated in most tourist beaches (and in this case tolerated does not mean welcomed), full nudity is actually illegal and breaking the law may mean a fine or even imprisonment. However, there are some remote beaches where apparently people ventures to take off their swimsuits.

If you want a safe nudist experience, there is an increasing number of naturist resorts all along the country. Thailand is becoming a nudist destination in Asia, with the support of the Naturist Association Thailand.

Below you can find a map with the naturist resorts in Thailand and some beaches where, according to some sources, nudity is (or was) possible, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy. We can only recommend you to check the current status of these beaches and to be careful and respectful of local culture. Remember that nudism is not legal in Thailand,

I have dedicated most of my free time in the last years to discover the world, and beaches offer some of the most stunning landscapes on Earth. The next step was to enjoy them as naturally as possible, which obviously mean without clothes. Now I think it is time for me to share this liberating experience and try to help others to discover it.
