Nudist Petitions

Many people fortunately live in countries where nudism is legal in at least a few places, but this has only be possible after a long fight for the rights of naturists. For those who now take advantage of this, it is important to acknowledge their effort and support those involved in the same battle nowadays.
Be it to establish new nudist places in countries where it is already possible, or to make it legal for the first time, several petitions are today open on the internet.
Please check out these ones, sign the petitions and spread the word.

Nude Beaches

Mpenjati beach, South Africa  (sign here)

Please sign this petition in support of Mpenjati Beach becoming the first official naturist/nudist beach in South Africa
Kwazulu Natal Naturist Association - KZNNA has requested from Hibiscus Municipality to declare Mpenjati Beach a naturist beach. This beach is commonly known as a naturist beach and local naturists as well as visitors to the area have used this beach for the last 20 years for naturist activities.
South African National Naturist Association - SANNA has rendered its support to this initiative and actively participate in lobbying support from all over the world and locally.
By signing this petition you are giving your support to your fellow naturists in South Africa and adding your voice to the greater good of naturists around the world.

Caspersen beach, Florida, USA (sign here)

Designate a 1/4 mile of Caspersen Beach Park as clothing-optional.
The cultural diversity of Sarasota County is well known.  However, the desires of some groups and cultures seem to be ignored or even shunned. Many attempts to get portions of beaches designated as clothing-optional have failed because of the stereotype pinned on these people. The large populations of Nudist and Naturist in Florida for the most part have to hide in private places to practice their beliefs.
The popularity of clothing optional beaches around the world is growing at a significate rate. As Pasco County has shown, clothing-optional businesses are an important part of their tourist economy. One of the most successful beaches designated in our state as clothing optional is Haulover Beach Park in Miami, FL. Part of their success is due to supporting organizations such as the B.E.A.C.H.E.S Foundation Institute and South Florida Free Beaches. Those who participate in nudism and naturism do it for nonsexual reasons.  They do it for personal comfort, a sense of freedom, self-esteem, and well-being.  If a ¼ mile of Caspersen Beach is designated as clothing optional, I will work with supporting organizations such as Suncoast NaturistsAANR-Florida and those mentioned above to make this a successful decision.

Tybee Island's Beach, Georgia, USA (sign here)

Designate One Quarter-Mile (North side peninsula) of Tybee Island's Beach as Clothing Optional
Georgia is a beautiful state. Living here, one learns the importance of respecting the beautiful landscapes one can find. The beauty of the land makes this state special, and it is something to be respected and celebrated. Just as we have given way to respect our environment, we must allow others to practice their beliefs.
When you think of a nudist or naturist, what is it that first comes to mind? Many people assume that nudists are over-sexualized and vulgar.
These negative stereotypes and judgments have been assimilated by America's cultural links to Puritan and Victorian moral codes, as they have connected nakedness and sexuality together. The question is, when dealing with nudity and sexuality, is one really the cause of the other? When one is naked, should it only be seen as sexual?
Much of American society depicts that answer as yes, however, some think differently. The practice of nudism is purposely nonsexual. It serves as a personal comfort and a stronger sense of freedom. There is the belief that nudism helps with self-esteem, relaxation, and overall well-being.
It should also be noted that in cultures around the world, nudity is not seen as strictly as it is here in the States. Rick Steves, a journalist with the Chicago Tribune wrote within one of his articles, "Americans may be taken aback, but Europeans think nothing for shedding their clothes at the beach or in a public bath. Nudity is the norm."-(In Europe, Strip Off All Your Inhibitions).
Yet in the end, I am not here to convert you to believe in one or the other, but rather ask that we respect each belief.
This is why I believe, as a resident of Savannah, Georgia, that the North side peninsula of Tybee Island's Beach should be designated as clothing optional. Tybee Island stretches out over 2 sq miles. With only one-quarter mile designated as clothing optional, more than 2.45 miles of the beach would still be left as "clothing-required" -- or however you want to term it. In this, we give way for everyone to go to the beach however they choose. As many will want to go to a clothing-required beach, they will definitely have the choice within more than 2.7 miles of land; and for those who recommend clothing optional, they may now have the option also.
I love this country we live in. One statement I read by a journalist named Larry Darter in an online article on nudism read, "After all, personal freedom is one of the hallmarks of democracy" (Stereotypical Naturism). This statement is very true. I am asking that the city of Tybee Island allow all people to practice our personal freedom and designate one-quarter mile of Tybee Island's Beach as clothing optional. If you agree, please sign your name and spread the word.

Alexandria Bay, Queensland, Australia (sign here)

Legalise a clothing optional beach at Alexandria Bay in Noosa National park.
The people of Queensland need a Legal Clothing Optional Beach to enjoy the natural side of nude swimming and sun baking. Alexandria Bay has been used as a nude beach for over a decade, it's the most sensible choice. When a legal nude beach it will make it easier to rid the beach of the unwanted creeps and weirdo's and make it a nude family safe beach environment.
Stand up and be counted, the more who support this, the more likely it will happen.

Mere Dieu, Bormes les Mimosas, France (sign here)

Galheta, Florianopolis, Brazil (sign here)

S.O.S Galheta!

General petitions

India (sign here)

Legalize Nudism in India
We all are born nude. We should have freedom to be nude at least in localities specialized for that viz., Nude Beaches and Resorts. In India, there are no legal nudist places. There are many nudists in India but, they are travelling to other countries in order to enjoy nudism. Legalizing nudism in India will be beneficial to many Indians and foreign tourists who visit India. In support, most of us know the physical and psychological benefits of nudism. We raise our hands in support of Nudism.

Legalize the naturism in Italy!
In Italy, Naturism is illegal. This essentially denies everyone the chance to benefit the civil right of being nude on beaches, as they would risk to be charged for “acts contrary to the public decency”, as the anachronistic Article 726 of the Criminal Code states. We therefore ask to the Italian Parliament to give legal recognition to the Naturism, equalizing our legislation to the basic juridic freedom of other European countries.
This plea is being launched by the magazine Vita Naturista (www.vitanaturista.it), which promotes and supports the growth of Naturism in Italy.

Author & Editor

I have dedicated most of my free time in the last years to discover the world, and beaches offer some of the most stunning landscapes on Earth. The next step was to enjoy them as naturally as possible, which obviously mean without clothes. Now I think it is time for me to share this liberating experience and try to help others to discover it.
