La Tejita

La Tejita may be the nude beach in Tenerife. The area around El Médano, in fact, comprises most nudist-friendly beaches in the island. Tourist development here has been quite respectful with the environment. La Tejita is the longest one, with plenty of space for nudists, who anyway tend to concentrate in a cove on the eastern part separated  from the main beach by a rocky outcrop. This section, at the foot of a volcano called Montaña Roja, is the most protected from the winds that have made from El Médano a Mecca for windsurfers.

El Playazo de Rodalquilar

The name "Playazo" ("long beach" in Spanish) is clear enough. While most beaches in Cabo de Gata are little secluded coves, this one is almost 1 km long and you can reach it by car. No wonder it is overcrowded in summertime. Out of this season, there is plenty of space for everybody (even for nudists) and it is also an excellent starting point to discover this part of the coast.

Baroña / Area Longa (es)

La playa de Baroña es doblemente histórica. Por un lado, por las ruinas de un castro celta (poblado prehistórico) justo al lado de la playa. Y por otro, porque éste fue uno de los primeros lugares tras la llegada de la democracia a España en el que los nudistas reclamaron su derecho a prescindir del bañador en público. Y lo consiguieron tras no pocas dificultades, incluyendo enfrentamientos con los vecinos o la policía. Gracias a la lucha de estos pioneros del movimiento "tetiñas free", hoy en Galicia (y en el resto de España) podemos disfrutar de multitud de playas en las que el nudismo está aceptado.

Hossegor is a holiday resort famous among surfers, who loves its waves, but also among nudists, who love this huge nude beach, hundreds of meters wide and kilometers long. Plenty of people, but lots of space for everybody.

Butihondo - Esquinzo (es)

Las playas de Butihondo y Esquinzo (es difícil distinguir dónde acaba una y empieza la otra) forman parte de la franja continua de arena que se extiende por toda la costa de Jandía cerca de 20 km entre Morro Jable y Costa Calma. A lo largo de las playa sólo hay unos cuantos hoteles, pero apartándose algo de ellos se pueden encontrar zonas muy tranquilas.

Agios Pavlos

There are two nudist beaches with this name in southern Crete. This is the one between Agia Galini and Triopetra (the other one is closer to Agia Roumeli). To make things more complicated, this beach is divided into three sections, two of them are suitable for nudists but the road only takes you to the textile section. You have to walk to the other two, but the effort is worthwhile.

Unfortunately, being so close to Santander and so easily accessible, it is usually overcrowded on summer weekends. In fact, there are many holiday homes in the vicinity, some of them even visible from the beach.
